Fashion Sunday

This should have happened last summer really. This is from my son's christening in Greece. Some really nice dresses particularly my sister's. All sorts of styles and  patterns looked lovely under blue skies and lovely summer weather. Enjoy!

Sophia's retro glasses match the print beautifully

My sister and her amazing 50s style floral number rocked!

This is all of us, me in a 20s style dress and the two girls on the right in lovely lacey dresses.

House Monday #1

Life has been so hectic recently so apologies for the long delay. Monday night updates when impossible with a sick kid but i have been on pinterst quite a lot and now that our kitchen is done i thought of sharing some of the kitchens that inspired me.

Our main concern was using the same units but in a different space so since out units where from birch i had to look at wooden kitchen. Our second challenge was that not making a kitchen that looks like a sauna which is always the risk if you have wooden floors and units. The kitchens here prove that there are many ways of doing it. Here it goes!

Images on this post are all found on Pinterest.

Fashion Monday #8

I have always been saying about the challenge looking cool without too much and it is all in the combinations. Here are a few past attempts. Before you go out think of a theme or an era! Fair enough you can't do this at 7 in the morning before you go to work but you can do before you go to a wedding! A new outfit helps but sometimes it is better to reinvent something!
From my anniversary in 2010 i think. Warehouse dress from the 40s

Trying different outfits before a wedding in France. I loved my shoes (my Gucci wedding shoes) and couldn't afford the trip and a new outfit so i wore this dress that i had before.

That is for another wedding, my brother's. Getting the dress right is one thing the rest is in the accessories. Warehouse dress and loads of blink.

Those that know me know i am mad about yellow. This is a fave colour combination. Yellow and red!
Try combing different colours. Stick to opposites or complimentary. It always works.

Fashion Monday #7

Today's post is quite rushed as we just came back from holidays and i am exhausted. I was thinking of what i love the most and so i decided to talk about stripes! Stripes make any colour combination interesting and any outfit look classic. All you have to do is match or contrast the rest of the outfit with one of the colours of the stripes!
Stripes make the world more interesting

Even a grey dress is interesting with stripes

Nautical look is always a classic
